This is my first finished piece (that I've uploaded here) since... forever. I've been in a meticulous mood recently, and so I kinda colored this properly. I still need to work on shading darker, but I always feel tentative with colored pencils for some reason. Also, scanning washed this out big time. I tried to adjust it but it didn't really work...
About the character. He doesn't have a name or anything beyond the design. I know the tear like things are cliche, but I tried to add some other markings of a similar nature. Not sure about the wings or the anatomy. But at least I tried, right? Suggestions for names are appreciated.
Oh wow; it's so delicate and - just WOW. This is truly gorgeous, so clean and - elegant, really, elegant and unnervingly beautiful. Unsettlingly so. For some reason he strikes me as some kind of figment of a mental patient's imagination, or like some kind of angel who only comes to schizophrenia patients or something, to keep them company. (I'm WEIRD. xD)
The anatomy is AMAZING to me - granted, I know next to nil about horse/deer.goat (he looks sort of deerish to me too, or a really dainty goat) anatomy, but it's beautiful and PLAUSIBLE and detailed; it looks like something that would WORK in nature. Just lovely. <3

FAQ #666: Does Complaints have a chat room? You bet your sweet bippy! #TheComplaintsTavern
Thank you. Yeah, I thought the markings were a bit like that. They are more orange than red, but you can't tell in the scanned version. I like the name Celferral! Definitely will consider it.
Moo. Thank you buddy. Those compliments mean a lot coming from you... I think I kinda see what you mean about him being a guardian for the mentally unstable. I now have this image in my mind of this raving mad person and him just sort of there, calming them. Thank you for that!
I'll be responding to your PM soon, just kinda sleepy now so going to bed!
Yeah; I've got this image now of him like, comforting a person in a straightjacket/padded room, or something, and it's WEIRD and beautiful all at once; thanks so much for making this character, who makes such odd lovely images in my head! :3 I dunno what his name should be, though. Like... I dunno. (Oddly, the word/name "Shorn" just popped into my head; dunno why, I just sort of liked the sound of it. I'm really bad at coming up with character names though; I generally just play with sounds until I find something cool. x3)
<3 Sleep well, dear!

^ ^ It's a random name...I was thinking somewhat celestial, but more maleish and a bit more wild....but yes, definately a fave of mine...even if I haven't faved it yet due to my forgetful nature...XD

The markings kinda look like veins, or arteries. He looks kinda like a flying gazelle. With pretty colors.
Maybe Celferral for a name.
